Description

This program is for Yoga teachers, Yoga Therapists, and healthcare professionals.

Gain the essential skills and confidence to teach Yoga as stress management in a wide variety of environments, including the workplace, healthcare facilities, schools, and Yoga studios.

You will learn the physical and mental Yoga practices that can help your students recover from past stress, cope with stress as it arises, and develop resilience to react with less stress in the future. Learn to adapt a variety of Yoga practices—including Hatha, Raja, and Karma Yoga—to be accessible to any population.

Stress is widespread in the world today. Research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association states that 60% to 80% of primary care doctors’ visits have a stress-related component, yet only 3% of medical doctors do stress management counseling. As more studies are published on the benefits of Yoga for stress relief every year, people are looking to Yoga for help with their stress. But they often find Yoga classes that are so physically challenging that they increase stress, and lack the mental training and breath-work that are important components of Yoga stress reduction.

Stress is a component of nearly every illness, either as a cause or an effect. So this course is also a part of the Integral Yoga Therapy curriculum. This training provides a solid foundation for many other specialized Yoga Therapy trainings including cardiac, cancer, and arthritis. This course provides good basic skills for PTSD, but further training is recommended if you want to specialize in teaching for PTSD.

Program offers Integral Yoga 300-hour credits

The essential Yoga teachings re-framed for a general audience

Rikki Donahoe

I took the Integral Yoga Stress Management Teacher Training in 2012. Since then, I have taught Stress Management in a Pharmaceutical Residency program, to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital, at women’s and men’s maximum-security prisons, the South Carolina Department of Water Works, Michelin Tire Company, a large Belgian manufacturing company, and four law firms. In many settings, I don’t even mention the word “Yoga”. It’s the essential Yoga teachings re-framed for a general audience.

Integral Yoga Stress Management Training is the backbone of everything I teach

M. Heron

I have 7 different Yoga teaching certifications. IYI Stress Management Training is the backbone of everything I teach because it takes Yoga off the mat and into people’s lives. I can give people a prescription to reduce the negative effects of stress. It’s a wonderful roadmap to the refuge of a calm mind, and a relaxed, awakened body. I’ve also written a book called “Yoga Inflight” that is based on Stress Management TT.

One of the best programs I have ever attended.

D. Thompson

Integral Yoga Stress Management Teacher Training was one of the best programs I have ever attended. Everything was covered, from a deep understanding of stress and Yoga stress management to teaching many different groups of people. It included how to modify poses for people with special needs, how to structure classes, and how to effectively market your newfound skills. I continue to use the written manual often.
