Does the stress of daily living keep you from living a joyful life? This online workshop provides a safe, nurturing, and playful environment in which to learn and practice life-affirming ways to honor and celebrate your life.

Interweaving her skills as a psychotherapist, Yoga teacher, and laughter leader, Sam will help you rediscover your radiant, joyful heart. Like a wise, compassionate friend, she will teach several highly effective practices that promote joy, personal empowerment, and the ability to laugh, sing, and dance with the flow of life.

In this workshop, you will learn techniques that will enable you to overcome difficult emotions like discontent or anxiety that may have reduced your happiness, no matter what their origin.

Live sessions with Sam on Saturday at 10:30 am–12 pm and 2–3 pm and Sunday at 10:30 am–12 pm ET.

In addition, you will have access to the Ashram’s Live Hatha Yoga classes at 5 pm ET and access to an online social community to connect and communicate with other participants about this course.

The main program sessions are live and all sessions are in ET. The live sessions will be recorded and posted to the Online Programs access page if you are unable to join us live for that session. Recordings* are usually posted within one day and are available to program participants and presenter(s) only.
*You're welcome to turn off your camera if you don't wish your image to be recorded.

You will have access to the video recordings for 8 weeks after the program ends, until March 21, 2021.

Licensed Professional Counselor and Experienced Yoga Teacher

Sam is a licensed professional counselor with over thirty years of clinical experience in various settings such as a health organization, schools, universities, and a mental health agency. She is the founder of Desai Counseling and Yoga and the proud developer of a 2-day Choose Laughter certification program.

Sam is highly skilled at integrating Western and Eastern wellness practices. As an experienced Integral Yoga teacher, she has an uncanny awareness and knowledge of how Yoga supports mental health. Sam skillfully weaves in mindfulness practices of physical asanas, meditation, positive visualization, relaxation skills, and breathing to promote holistic wellness.

Furthermore, Sam is a talented and engaging speaker who has given numerous talks and workshops on mental health, mind-body wellness, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management and laughter.
